Description
Technique : Light Microscopy
Specimen : Submit skin scrapings in a sterile, screw capped, plastic container.(clean area with 70% of alcohol and collect from periphery of active infection, not from centre in case of tinea infection). Wrap it in a black paper if possible
Temperature : 18-25° C
Special Instructions for Sample Collection : Specify nature and site of specimen on container and test requisition form.
Run days at Section : Every day if received before 1:00 p.m.
