Description

Technique : Photo-optical Clot Detection

Specimen : For Outstation samples: 2 ml. (1.5 ml. Minimum) PPP (Platelet Poor Plasma) from 2 Sodium Citrate tubes prepared within 1 hr of collection. Aliquot PPP in 2 transport vials and FREEZE.

Temperature : Local samples: 2-8° C to reach lab in 3 hours. Outstation samples:(-20°C)

Special Instructions for Sample Collection : Preparation of PPP: Centrifuge the blood sample at 3000rpm for 15 minutes within 1 hr. of collection to separate the plasma

Run days at Section : Every day if received before 1:00 p.m.
